Beer Steins and Glasses
It was amazing to me when I was in California. It was an eye opener. And now that I’m an experienced beer enthusiast, I can begin sharing that and other experiences.
We went to a restaurant and don’t ask me which one. You’ll soon learn why.
Anyway, we asked for a tall one. I’m used to settling up to the bar and ordering a tall one. It might be 20 oz. at best.
But, this one was set down beside me on the floor. I had to pick it up by the handle and it was easy to drink at first. But when the beer got below the neck, it wasn’t easy any longer.
You had to judge how much beer you would need to let roll past the neck so that you didn’t end up with it all over you. The other downside was that you wouldn’t get any at all for all the efforts you put into it.
Then as you get to the bottom of the “tall one,” you’re feeling pretty good. You have very little judgment and you’re wearing more and more of your beer. Good thing it dries and you have plenty of time to order another one before you head out for the town.
Yes, we walked. We got a cab later on that night too. We had no choice. Two of the “tall ones” was about all we could handle.
